Greetings - thank you for a beautiful morning - usually I find myself both hyper and exhausted after a class, but between you all and the music today, I felt very calm and happy - how nice!

I'll post a track to play along with today, but you may find others on the internet that you like - If you do, share the link in the comments so that others can enjoy as well.

Here's a recording of the first class - I do not mean to to do this for each class, but here is one anyway -  Sadly, it was recording from the beginning - you'll need to start at the 29 minute mark to get the really start of the class.

----------------------------

Hello students - Here is a back up track that you can play or sing along with - if you like, you can record yourself playing along and send it by email - I'd love to hear you!

class 3

Ubi Caritas

How to deal with chords not in the scale

how to make a lh that works when the chords change so often.

class recording

------------------

I was doing some recording for St. Philip's church using a pretty amazing app - and it was so much fun, I decided to see how it would work for an instructional video. Obviously I could improve my presentation technique, but I just tried it out and decided to share the results with you.  I clearly made a mistake setting it to 3 minutes, and you can't change that once you have begun  (also tto loud, too much hum, and 4 versions of me talking at once - yikes!

some ways to play Ubi Caritas

Here is a worked out version to print, similar to the way I played in the top rh box.  You can see how I got around not having a F# in measure 3 (to have a G major, not minor chord) and leaving out the Bb in the G major chord.

You could also play just the first note of each chord as I have it on the page.  There is a line left for you to write your own part for a verse.
